Job Context

• Dekko Group, a leading conglomerate started its journey in 1953 and is involved in manufacturing of Garments, Garment Accessories, Foods, Paints and Distributions, with a total production space over 14 lac sq.ft, employing a workforce of 20,000 + . As a progressive course of expansion, it is planning to put its highly successful footprint on Lifestyle sector through new business venture of Fashion Retail.
• We are looking for a HEAD of FASHION DESIGNER, who will lead the exclusive design team.

Job Description / Responsibility

•  Taking initiatives to understand the brand ethos and aesthetics and mold the design sensibilities accordingly.
•  Trend Research and market analysis to understand the trend drift in competitive brands while also presenting the key highlights for the season.
•  Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colors and shapes & planning and developing ranges
•  Sourcing and selecting fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments & adapting existing designs for mass production
•  Liaising closely with sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure the item suits the customer, market and price points
•  Should have wide knowledge about global fashion trends.
•  Ability to lead the design & product development team
•  Capacity to create detailed cost blueprints of designed & developed products.
•  Present design, costs, changes and budgetary information effectively to senior management and provide regular progress updates.

Educational Requirements

•  Post Graduate / Graduate in Fashion Design from any reputed university.
•  Education might be considerable based on more experience

Experience Requirements

• At least 10 year(s)
• The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
  Fashion Design
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Garments, Retail Store

Job Requirements

•  Experience at-least 5years in similar role
•  Strong knowledge of all kind of fabric
•  Knowledge of Fabric washing
•  Basic Technical, pattern making & sewing knowledge
•  Able to follow the aesthetics of leading US, European, UK brands
•  Creative, visionary and has a passion for fashion.
•  A good eye for color, texture and shape
•  Must have thorough CAD knowledge and application.
•  A proven record of success in coordinating design & product development work.
•  Must have a sense of urgency and be deadline-oriented.
•  Must have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
•  Ability to lead entire designing team with a very good team environment.
•  Customer focused & should have good social connection.
